Job summary

Shepeard Community Blood Center in Augusta, GA, seeks a Regional Manager of Blood Operations to lead donor services and blood collection operations across the Middle Georgia region. You will oversee mobile drives, fixed-site collections, and staff, ensuring regulatory compliance and an outstanding donor experience.

The role requires 3–5 years supervisory experience in healthcare or donor services, 5+ years phlebotomy, CPR and phlebotomy certifications, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in healthcare, donor services, logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Blood center or plasma center experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and CPR certifications required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout Middle Georgia and the CSRA.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must reside within one hour of the Dublin Donor Center.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily donor services and blood collection operations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop collection staff.
• Monitor collection goals, donor retention, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, AABB, and organizational standards.
• Support mobile blood drives and fixed-site operations as needed.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Foster a positive, donor-focused culture and exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with leadership and community partners to support blood collection goals.
