Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Asset Protection Manager to lead protection programs, minimize shrink, and uphold safety standards across a defined geographic area. You will conduct investigations, analyze data, and partner with store, district, and support center leaders to drive profitability and security.

The role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead in a dynamic retail environment. Travel within the territory may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of loss prevention/asset protection, safety and/or retail operations experience OR High School diploma/GED with at least 4 years LP/asset protection experience.
• At least 1 year of experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or presenting information to support teams.
• Experience with business, financial and/or data analysis.
• Basic skills in Excel for currency formatting and basic data tasks.
• Basic skills in PowerPoint for slides and presentations.
• Basic skills in Word for documents and reports.
• Experience handling confidential information and meeting deadlines.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of federal, state, and local laws as they relate to team members and non-employees.
• Identifies and reports exposure to loss; develops ways to minimize risk and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintains communication with Store, District Management, APS, and external agencies to meet Asset Protection goals.
• Oversees third-party guard force training, post orders, scheduling, and policy adherence.
• Collaborates with APS, Operations Loss Prevention, Pharmacy and Retail Ops to minimize profit loss.
• Reviews budget-to-plan and analyzes data to support cost-saving initiatives.
• Provides guidance to team members and oversees performance reviews and staffing.
