Regional Architecture Director – Northeast

Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior architect/leader to sustain, grow, and develop HDR’s Architectural practice in the Northeast region. You will collaborate with Market Sector Directors and Regional Operations Directors to craft a regional business plan and direct multi-office teams to meet or exceed it.

You will contribute to the enterprise-wide growth, guiding strategy for communications and brand leadership while ensuring high-quality project delivery and staff development across HDR’s offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in architecture/related field.
• Operational management experience.
• Professional registration and related technical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in health, education, science and/or civic industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead regional business group initiatives.
• Collaborate with Managing Principals to meet growth and office plans.
• Engage in annual alignment and planning meetings.
• Support Managing Principals in P&L goals.
• Build and maintain client relationships and satisfaction.
• Work with office leadership on staff recruitment and development.
• Partner with market sector leadership on business development.
• Identify strategic hires and talent gaps for recruitment.
• Share joint P&L management for the region with Regional Ops Directors.
• Lead pursuit strategy and project delivery guidance with HDR leadership.
