Job summary

HDR is a leading global design firm seeking a Senior Architecture Practice Leader for the Northeast. You will sustain, grow, and develop HDR’s architectural footprint across the region, guiding multi‑disciplinary offices to deliver on HDR’s regenerative and resilient design goals.

You will partner with Market Sector Directors and regional leads to build a robust business plan, manage P&L, recruit and mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships while advancing HDR’s employee‑owned culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in architecture or related field.
• Experience leading diverse teams and managing regional or multi-office practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and client management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead business group initiatives for the region.
• Collaborate with Managing Principals to ensure growth strategies and office plans are met.
• Lead annual alignment and planning meetings and contribute to pursuit strategy.
• Support P&L management with regional leaders and recruitment efforts.
• Build and maintain client relationships and client satisfaction.
• Oversee staff development, training, and retention in the region.
• Travel to architecture studios and project locations as needed.
