Job summary

The University of Utah’s Office of Admissions seeks two Admissions Counselors to help expand its recruitment reach in- and out-of-state, increase new student enrollment, and shape the entering class. This role is based in the Emma Eccles Jones Welcome Center on campus.

Counselors will be primary contacts for prospective students, respond to inquiries, coordinate information sessions, and evaluate applications.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years' related experience, or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for prospective students via email and phone.
• Develop, implement and assess a domestic student recruitment plan.
• Coordinate in-person and virtual visits to high schools and community organizations.
• Lead information sessions on and off campus; attend college fairs.
• Travel within assigned territory up to 4-6 weeks annually.
• Read and evaluate domestic applications; support enrollment goals.
