Job summary

Oakmont is seeking an experienced Activity Director to support transitions across communities and oversee programming for Assisted Living and Traditions activities. You will organize, schedule, budget and promote resident activities, ensuring high quality life enhancements.

In this role, you will partner with the Executive Director, maintain policies, and conduct audits to uphold standards across the communities.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Minimum 2+ years as an Activity Director or 3+ years as an Activity Assistant or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Certification in RCFE Activity Director is required or pursued.
• Class B License with Passenger Endorsement for 20+ passengers.
• Flexibility to work holidays, evenings, weekends, and extra shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transitions Team across the portfolio and require frequent travel.
• Support programming, organization, scheduling, budgeting, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities for assigned Communities to enhance residents' independence and quality of life.
• Conduct and support standard operations of the Assisted Living and Traditions Activities departments.
• In the absence of an Activity Director, maintain activities and other resident programs.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to uphold programming standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in developing Oakmont Programming standards and related systems for Activity programs.
• Conduct Audits of Assisted Living and Traditions Activities Departments.

Job description

• Support our Transitions Team across the portfolio and requires frequent travel
• Responsible for supporting all programming, organizing, scheduling, budgeting, promoting, facilitating, and directing the activities and excursions for the Communities assigned in order to enhance the residents independence and quality of life
• Conduct and support standard operations of the Assisted Living and Traditions Activities departments
• In the absence of an Activity Director, the specialist will be responsible for maintaining activities and other resident programs
• Work directly with the communities Executive Director to maintain Programming operations standards, policies and procedures
• Participate in the development of Oakmont Programming standards and policies as well as any additional projects related to the development of systems for the Activity program in both Assisted Living and Traditions
• Conduct Audits of Assisted Living and Traditions Activitys Department

Requirements

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age
• Preferred a minimum of 2 or more years as an Activity Director or equivalent and/or a Minimum of 3 or more years as an Activity Assistant or equivalent
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• College Degree Preferred
• Must have or be willing to obtain Class B License with Passenger Endorsement for 20 or more passengers
• Must have or be willing to obtain RCFE Activity Director Certification
• Flexibility in work schedule as evidenced by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary to ensure adequate coverage within the communities
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
