Job summary

Purdue University Extension is seeking a Regional Educator for 4-H in Osgood, IN to lead local youth development programs and support volunteers and staff. You will coordinate clubs, manage enrollments, supervise volunteers, and align county activities with statewide 4-H policies and Purdue’s guidelines.

You'll collaborate with state and regional staff, travel as needed, and contribute to evidence-based educational experiences that empower youth across the region.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; in lieu of degree, a combo of education and experience considered.
• Strong communication skills required; leadership, mentoring, teamwork, and group process skills valued.
• Knowledge of basic educational methods.
• Ability to work with new and existing clientele and stakeholders.
• Travel willingness and valid U.S. driver's license; ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination and leadership to Community 4-H Clubs; oversee best practices and policies.
• Manage enrollment in 4-H Program via 4honline and support volunteers.
• Supervise volunteers and assist in delivering 4-H programming; address needs and issues.
• Advise and support 4-H Affiliates; connect with State and Regional 4-H staff.
• Promote educational programs and connect youth with opportunities.
• Ensure events follow Purdue and Indiana 4-H policies and procedures.
• Develop and provide local and regional 4-H experiences aligned with Purdue Extension curriculum.
• Attend and chaperone the National 4-H Trip as required.
