Purdue University Extension is seeking an Extension Educator to lead local 4-H youth development programs in Goshen, IN. The role supports learning opportunities, collaborates with community partners, and delivers evidence-based programming to youth and volunteers.
The position emphasizes program development, community outreach, and leadership of local 4-H activities, with responsibility for coordination, enrollment, supervision, and staff guidance.
Extension Educators provide the link between Land Grant University research and Indiana residents by supporting innovative learning opportunities for youth and youth-serving volunteers and professionals to ensure positve youth development experiences. Educators collaborate with local, regional, and state agencies, partner organizations, businesses, and schools to analyze needs; develop, implement, and oversee vibrant and sustainable research-based educational programs; and provide resources and expertise to the local community. The Extension Educator will provide evidence-based learning opportunities and individual stakeholder consultations.
This is a professional contributor position that works under general supervision while being responsible for day-to-day coordination and leadership of the local 4-H program and/or local Youth Development Programming.
