Hudson Valley Credit Union is recruiting for the position of Region Team Assistant Manager. Primary Function: Engage and develop the Region Relationship Advisors to provide high-quality member service through efficient transaction processing and successful implementation of HVCU Sales and Service Model. This role requires traveling to fill branch leadership needs across all locations, specifically across Saratoga to Northern Dutchess Counties, providing supervisory and leadership coverage to support the credit union's growth and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide interim on-site support at assigned branches to assist with branch coverage and daily operations as directed by branch leadership.
- Manage staff and daily operations of assigned branches, including cash/teller operations, ATM, Teller Infinity, branch proof, compliance, and security.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new staff; may deliver training content under the direction of the Region Team Manager.
- Create, monitor, and implement employee performance plans; conduct milestone meetings; analyze trends and make recommendations to achieve team goals.
- Develop work schedules for Region Relationship Advisors to minimize member wait times and maximize staff availability.
- Set clear expectations, goals, and objectives to foster accountability, and provide coaching and development to staff.
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable about marketing programs, self-service options, products, and sales techniques; oversee training.
- Identify opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce expenses, and improve operations; submit annual budget recommendations.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations; participate in required training including BSA; contribute to teams and projects.
- Support HVCU’s guiding principles, including Mission, Vision, Core Values, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years per undergraduate year not completed).
- NY Notary Public license after 12 months of employment.
- At least 1 year of sales and customer service experience in a financial or retail environment.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a financial or retail environment.
