Position Summary

Sovah Martinsville seeks a full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to assess patients, conduct diagnostics, develop treatment plans with physicians, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities include measuring lung capacity, analyzing blood gases, delivering therapies, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining equipment.

Minimum Education

• Associate’s degree required
• Graduate of a Respiratory Care Therapy program required

Required Skills

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently
• Ability to work in stressful environments and adapt to shift schedules, including weekends and holidays

Required Certifications/Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association, within 6 months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) - within 6 months of hire
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligibility with passing within 18 months
• Virginia Respiratory Care Practitioner license
