Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Caseworker in Phoenix to provide trauma-informed, client-centered case management for refugees and ORR-eligible immigrants. You will develop self-sufficiency plans, connect households to essential resources, and collaborate with partners to ensure timely access to housing, healthcare, employment, and benefits.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field strongly preferred; comparable work experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a social services environment.
  • Proficiency in English required; bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intakes and needs assessments to identify strengths, barriers, and goals for enrolled clients.
  • Develop Family Self-Sufficiency Plans (FSSPs) and Individual Employability Plans (IEPs) with clients, ensuring alignment with program and donor requirements.
  • Provide trauma-informed case management services, including direct support, referrals, and advocacy with service providers.
  • Coordinate access to housing, benefits, healthcare, education, and employment services.
  • Monitor client progress toward goals, adjusting plans as needed, and ensure documentation is timely and accurate in case files and data systems.
  • Maintain strong relationships with community partners and service providers to expand available resources for clients.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and trainings to promote quality service delivery and professional development.
  • Follow all IRC policies and procedures, including safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality protocols.
