Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Buffalo, NY is hiring an experienced Refrigeration Technician to diagnose and repair Thermo King and Carrier reefer units on trailer fleets. The role offers day shift hours and weekly pay with full benefits within 30 days.

You will perform PMs, A/C service, and diesel engine repairs while maintaining safety and documentation. Required EPA 608 certification, tools, and a valid driver's license. Join a team focused on reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

Proven experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
EPA 608 Certification is required
Experience with PMs and A/C systems
Valid Driver’s License
Own hand tools and toolbox
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and A/C service
Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units
Conduct safety inspections and complete required documentation
Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are fully operational
Access and inspect undercarriages and mechanical components
Remove and install parts as needed
Maintain accurate service records (computer & manual entry)
Communicate with clients via phone and email
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
