Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to provide hands-on technical support for refrigeration systems across our retail stores. You will install and service compressors, case equipment, and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal temperatures and performance.

This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in the supermarket industry.
• Demonstrates knowledge with hand tools, gauges, meters.
• Requires a driver's license and good driving record.
• Able to climb ladders 6–24 ft and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Installs or changes compressors and cases in stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including washing condensers and cases, welding, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigerant leaks.
• Drives service van to store locations.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Refrigeration Technicians provide technical support for all refrigeration problems to assigned retail stores.

Responsibilities

• Installs/changes compressors and cases in new and/or remodeled stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including: washing condensers and cases; welding; HVAC; plumbing; refrigerant leaks; any other store mechanical needs.
• Drives service van to necessary locations
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Should possess and maintain a driver's license and good driving record.
• Demonstrates use of hand tools, gauges, pressure washer, torch, and meters.
• Demonstrates the knowledge gained by 2 to 4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in the supermarket industry.
• Should possess good interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Should be able to climb ladders 6-24 feet and maintain balance on a ladder when necessary.
• Should be able to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.
