Job summary

Lowes Foods in Burlington, NC seeks a Refrigeration Technician to support refrigeration systems across multiple stores. You will install or change compressors and cases in new or remodeled locations, monitor temperatures and pressures, and perform various mechanical repairs to ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver's license and a good driving record.
• 2–4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in supermarket environments.
• Able to climb ladders (6–24 ft) and balance safely when needed.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs consistently.
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs or changes compressors and cases in new or remodeled stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including washing condensers, welding, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigerant leaks.
• Drives service van to various locations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Refrigeration Technicians provide technical support for all refrigeration problems to assigned retail stores.

Responsibilities

• Installs/changes compressors and cases in new and/or remodeled stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including: washing condensers and cases; welding; HVAC; plumbing; refrigerant leaks; any other store mechanical needs.
• Drives service van to necessary locations
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Should possess and maintain a driver's license and good driving record.
• Demonstrates use of hand tools, gauges, pressure washer, torch, and meters.
• Demonstrates the knowledge gained by 2 to 4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in the supermarket industry.
• Should possess good interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Should be able to climb ladders 6-24 feet and maintain balance on a ladder when necessary.
• Should be able to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.
