Job summary

Lowes Foods in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to provide technical support for refrigeration systems across our stores. You will install and service compressors, cases, and related equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation in busy retail environments.

The role requires hands-on skills with tools such as gauges, pressure washers, and welding, plus a valid driver's license and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in the supermarket industry.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to climb ladders 6–24 feet and maintain balance while working at height.
• Lifts up to 60 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs consistently.

Responsibilities

• Installs or changes compressors and cases in new or remodeled stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including washing condensers and cases, welding, HVAC, plumbing, refrigerant leaks, and other store mechanical needs.
• Drives service van to required locations.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Refrigeration Technicians provide technical support for all refrigeration problems to assigned retail stores.

Responsibilities

• Installs/changes compressors and cases in new and/or remodeled stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including: washing condensers and cases; welding; HVAC; plumbing; refrigerant leaks; any other store mechanical needs.
• Drives service van to necessary locations
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Should possess and maintain a driver's license and good driving record.
• Demonstrates use of hand tools, gauges, pressure washer, torch, and meters.
• Demonstrates the knowledge gained by 2 to 4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in the supermarket industry.
• Should possess good interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Should be able to climb ladders 6-24 feet and maintain balance on a ladder when necessary.
• Should be able to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.
