Job summary

Nortera, North America's leader in ready-to-cook vegetables, is seeking a refrigeration technician to install, maintain and repair equipment in the refrigeration cycle. You will identify wear, diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs to keep the line running smoothly.

This role includes troubleshooting anhydrous ammonia systems, pumps and controls, with responsibilities spanning assembly, adjustment of valves, and servicing motors.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and repairing two-stage anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of screw compressors/booster, reciprocating compressors, rotary boosters, evaporative condensers, ammonia pumps and controls.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Able to work in confined spaces and handle mechanical/electrical tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance and adjustments of associate equipment in the refrigeration cycle.
• Troubleshoot anhydrous ammonia refrigeration system problems.
• Assemble, disassemble and overhaul pumps, relief valves, regulating valves, solenoids, filters, lines and motors.
