Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Orange City, IA is seeking a Refrigeration Technician on the 2nd shift. You will repair and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, lead safety efforts, and work with operations to ensure continuous production.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance in food manufacturing preferred.
• Be able to attain RETA certification and work with ammonia refrigeration.
• Strong planning, troubleshooting and safety leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct equipment repairs as part of a team.
• Perform routine audits and equipment inspections for compliance.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities to resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain open, professional communication with operations personnel.
• Respond to unplanned or emergency maintenance requests promptly.
