Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to provide technical support for refrigeration systems at our Columbia and Florence, SC stores. The role involves maintaining temperatures, repairing condensers, and ensuring reliable operation of cases in busy retail environments.

You will travel to assigned stores, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to issues as they arise, often requiring physical work and occasional welding or plumbing tasks.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in the supermarket industry.
• Possess and maintain a driver’s license and good driving record.
• Able to climb ladders 6-24 feet and maintain balance on a ladder when necessary.
• Able to lift 60 lbs. occasionally and 10 lbs. consistently.

Responsibilities

• Installs/changes compressors and cases in new and/or remodeled stores.
• Checks and adjusts refrigerator temperatures and pressures.
• Performs mechanical repairs including washing condensers and cases; welding; HVAC; plumbing; refrigerant leaks; any other store mechanical needs.
• Drives service van to necessary locations.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
