Job summary

Ref Experts, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC/Refrigeration technician to install, repair, and maintain commercial systems in diverse supermarket environments. You will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation while documenting work and coordinating with clients.

The role requires EPA certification, a minimum of 5 years in refrigeration, a clean driving record, and strong mechanical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Minimum 5 years refrigeration experience.
• Valid driver’s license / good driving record.
• Experience with single systems, rack systems, display cases and walk-in boxes.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and management.
• Solid mechanical skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install all types of commercial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment.
• Repair/overhaul compressors, pumps, air handlers, controls safely and efficiently.
• Perform general repairs on refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnose issues to ensure performance.
• Document work by completing job paperwork accurately.
• Pickup, delivery, and installation of cases.
• Repair and maintain supermarket refrigeration racks.

Job Description:

• Provide Installation of all types of Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment.
• Repairing and overhauling equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• General repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors and electric motors.
• Preventative maintenance activities like diagnosing equipment malfunction and any operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance for our customers.
• Document work by completing all paperwork on each job.
• Pick up, deliver and install cases.
• Repair and Maintenance of Supermarket refrigeration racks.

Job Requirements:

• EPA Universal Certification.
• 5 years of refrigeration experience.
• Good driving record.
• Working knowledge of single systems, rack systems, display cases and walk-in boxes.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, and management.
• Good mechanical skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma/GED
• 2 years minimum of experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, ice machines and gas furnace required
• Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience and supermarket stores

Pay Rate:

• Hourly rate negotiable based on skills and experience.
