Job summary

Hussmann Corporation in the United States seeks a Senior HVAC/R Technician to lead a team delivering maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems in supermarkets and stores. The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and customer relations, with the ability to train and mentor junior technicians.

You will travel within a defined region, work nights/weekends as needed, and maintain accurate paperwork, truck inventory, and parts.

Qualifications

• Must have EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Minimum 7 years in the field or 5 years with Certification from a Technical School.
• Internal candidates require 3 years as a Certified Technician with completion of OJT & Skills Assessment.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and maintain a safe driving record.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of service technicians across a geographic area to service refrigeration systems.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations and understand customer systems and processes.
• Assist with job quoting, staffing, estimating, and understanding project costing; support technicians’ development.
• Coordinate training and mentorship for technicians and provide guidance.
• Manage truck inventory and maintain vehicle documentation and parts to minimize waste.
