Job summary

CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC refrigeration installer to join our team in Oklahoma City. You will install refrigeration systems per customer specifications, follow building codes, and ensure proper piping practices.

Responsibilities include piping, coil installation, electrical wiring as required, welding, and assisting the foreman. A high school diploma and EPA Type II certification are required, with 5+ years in commercial refrigeration or related fields preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical classes preferred.
• EPA Certification (Type II) required or equivalent.
• Experience with refrigerant piping, electrical wiring and copper brazing is essential.
• Ability to read blueprints and install refrigeration systems according to specs.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration systems per customer specs, codes, and piping practices.
• Pipes, hangers, coils, and case installations; provide mechanical support as directed.
• Weld and install copper piping; assist foreman on site.
• Handle cooler boxes and refrigeration equipment in supermarkets or facilities.
• Adhere to safety rules and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the installation of refrigeration systems following customer specifications, applicable building codes, and proper piping practices.

• Provide support on construction job by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including electrical wiring as required to complete the project.
• Provides the required installation of pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
• Provide construction support by welding and slip-hosing copper pipes, and assist the foreman as needed on the job.
• Provide support by handing cooler box coils and installing new supermarket refrigeration systems or remodeling existing supermarket refrigeration systems.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent work experience and trade or technical school classes
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry preferred and hands-on field experience in commercial refrigeration, electrical and/or fixtures construction
• EPA Certification (Type II)
• Experience in copper brazing, market remodeling
• Good driving record.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
• Knowledge of carpentry.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and piping of refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to pipe refrigeration equipment.
• Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of job site safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices, and safety rule compliance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
