Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the Cambridge campuses to install, maintain, and repair commercial-grade cooling and refrigeration systems, and to support building operations. The role requires a MA State Refrigeration license, CFC Certification, and five years of related experience.

Candidate must hold a valid driver’s license; work schedule is 40 hours per week on campus. The compensation reflects a competitive hourly rate of $50.82, with full university benefits

Qualifications

• Current MA State Refrigeration license.
• Current CFC Universal Certification.
• Five years related experience in refrigeration and related controls work.
• Valid State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Installs, modifies, and repairs cooling and refrigeration systems.
• Fabricates, installs, modifies and repairs related piping systems.
• Reclaims and recycles refrigerants.
• Diagnoses and assists in the repair of DDC and pneumatic control systems.
• Interprets plans and prints and updates as necessary.
• Provides responsive customer support in building maintenance and operations.
• Advises customers on maintenance solutions and follows up on progress.
• May work independently or as part of a multi-trade team under supervision.
