A TWIC card or willingness to obtain one is required. The position requires 2+ years of reefer experience or a technical school diploma, strong refrigeration and electrical knowledge, and a valid driver's license (CDL a plus).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Reefer Mechanic experience or Technical School diploma.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration and electrical systems.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred (for refrigerant handling).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and repair manuals.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance on reefer units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system malfunctions.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and post-repair testing.
• Replace defective parts and components as needed.
• Record all inspections, repairs, and service history.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and vendors to prioritize repairs.
• Work at satellite sites within a 10‑mile radius.
