Job summary

Premier is seeking an HVAC Refrigerator Mechanic to maintain high, medium, and low temperature systems at our Atlantic City facility. You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in training an Apprentice Engineer while ensuring reliable operation of air handling units and associated plumbing systems.

The role requires refrigerant certifications I and II, experience evacuating systems and replacing compressors, and prior plumbing/mechanical experience.

Qualifications

• Refrigerant Certification I and II required.
• Experience with evacuating systems and changing compressors required.
• Previous Plumbing/Mechanical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains mechanical and electrical systems, including high/medium/low temperature units.
• Repairs and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Installs and repairs pipes, fixtures, and drainage per codes; trains Apprentice Engineer.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Changes and installs air filters.
• Maintains air handling units.
• Responds to routine maintenance calls.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance on mechanical and electrical aspects of systems to include high, medium, and low temperature units.
• Repairs and adjusts equipment as required.
• Installs and repairs pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems as per specifications and applicable codes. Assists with training of the Apprentice Engineer.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Changes and installs air filters as required.
• Maintains air handling units.
• Responds to routine maintenance calls as required.
• Other Duties as assigned

• Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Target Salary Range:

$31.45 Hourly
