If you're the go-to person, the one who answers the questions, with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork, we have an opportunity for a FIFO Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team of maintenance trades in North Queensland.

This is a full time 14 days on, 7 days - 11 hour per day roster.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, our Refrigeration Mechanic will work as part of a larger trades team to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment ensuring operational function and contributing to the smooth running of the village.

Key Duties will include:

1. Completing assigned breakdown.
2. General repair and maintenance works.
3. Conducting inspections of all HVAC equipment which includes air conditioners, RAC refrigeration units, chillers and other refrigeration systems.
4. Completing pre start checks.
5. Completion of maintenance log schedule and updating maintenance registry.
6. Prioritising urgent repairs for customers & clients, install/ inspect & troubleshoot refrigeration equipment while adhering to high standards of safety.

Who are we looking for?
You are a positive, and effective communicator who has a strong work ethic and excellent customer service without compromising on safety.

In addition, you will have:

1. Current Refrigeration Handling License - unrestricted.
2. Valid open Driver License.
3. Experience in completing facilities and building maintenance and inspections to an agreed schedule.
4. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients.
5. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide professional customer service ensuring exceptional presentation to client/customer satisfaction.
6. Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
7. Previous remote site experience is highly regarded but not essential.
8. Previous experience working and supporting a larger team of trades is preferred but not essential.
9. Restricted electrical license and LVR/CPR certificate is highly regarded but not essential for this role.
