Job summary

Wald Family Foods in Burlington, IA is seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration and Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ammonia and CO2 refrigeration equipment in a fast-paced food production environment.

You will monitor system performance, document maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP, OSHA and GMP standards while working with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and maintain safety.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on ammonia refrigeration and CO2 systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alarms per SOPs.
• Maintain maintenance records and refrigerant logs.
• Follow food safety and GMP procedures.
