Qualifications

• Must have trade school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience assisting with related refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to use hand and shop tools used in maintenance and repair of refrigerated systems.
• Proven experience in refrigeration system maintenance and repair with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems for industrial and commercial applications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Ability to read and understand sketches and manufacturer's instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of the refrigeration department.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Supervise and train refrigeration technicians to ensure high performance and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with the refrigeration manager to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage and supervise refrigeration associates including hiring, training and development.
• Ensure the Quality Improvement Process and team management concepts are employed.
• Provide timely, accurate and consistent reports on safety, production, and costs.
• Provide a safe work environment for all associates by eliminating unsafe acts or conditions.
