Qualifications

• Associates degree with 5–7 years in a supervisory role, or 9–11 years with at least 5 in supervision.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, compressed air and steam generation systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of process equipment maintenance and CIP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Refrigeration Group to ensure systems meet facility requirements.
• Maintain OSHA, USDA, PSM compliance and Risk Management practices.
• Direct and control mechanics to complete tasks properly and on time with proper follow-up.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program by reviewing PM reports and schedules.
• Keep a safe, clean work environment and conduct safety training as needed.
• Ensure pre-production setup is performed properly and timely.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, this position is responsible for supervision of the daily activities and operations performed by the Refrigeration Group within the Facilities Department to ensure refrigeration, steam, process equipment and wastewater discharge systems are supporting facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of the Refrigeration Group as needed to insure refrigeration, steam, process equipment and wastewater discharge systems are supporting facility requirements.
• Maintain company and product reputation by complying with OSHA, USDA, PSM and Risk Management Program.
• Direct and control the activities of the mechanics to ensure that the job and/or the activities performed are completed properly and timely and that adequate follow up has been conducted.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program by reviewing PM Reports and schedules to ensure all machinery and equipment are up to operational standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean and hazard free work environment for maintenance mechanics, visitors and production personnel with good housekeeping habits and by attending or conducting classes on OSHA programs such as lock out-tag out and MSDS training.
• Ensure through proper supervision and follow up, that the mechanics perform the pre-production set-up properly and timely

Qualifications

• Associates degree with five (5) to seven (7) years of work experience in a supervisory/leadership role, OR
• Nine (9) to eleven (11) years of work experience, with a minimum of five (5) in a supervisory role where responsibility was maintained to ensure employees are fully trained and have a complete understanding for the process in which they are functioning
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems, compressed air and steam generation systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of process equipment maintenance and CIP
