Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC, an American Foods Group Company in Long Prairie, MN, is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment.

The role requires experience with hand and power tools, reading blueprints, and the ability to work in varied temperatures. Overtime and weekend work may be required; full training in safety and GMPs is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of PPE.
• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read and write).
• Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and reading drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to complete training: safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, food defense, first aid, lock out/tag out, forklift, Walker.

Responsabilités

• Maintain ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, air compressors and related equipment including preventive maintenance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of all systems and components.
• Assist with maintaining P&ID drawings for refrigeration systems.
• Maintain logs and required paperwork.
• Maintain water treatment system for boilers and condensers with help of outside vendor.
• Participate in PSM team projects and meetings.
• Other related duties as assigned.
