Job summary

Bell & Evans in Fredericksburg, PA seeks a Refrigeration Lead to oversee the refrigeration department on the Weekend Day Shift (Thursday-Monday 5:30 AM to finish). You will coordinate daily maintenance, mentor technicians, and ensure safe, compliant operation of all refrigeration systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required and 5+ years in related maintenance or refrigeration.
RETA certification or willingness to complete training.
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and PLC controls preferred.
Strong documentation, safety adherence, and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily maintenance activities and document logs and system performance.
Monitor system efficiency and pursue corrective actions as needed.
Mentor and support refrigeration technicians and maintenance staff.
Lead complex troubleshooting and plant service calls with minimal supervision.
Plan, prioritize, and delegate work to meet production needs.
Uphold safety, SOPs, and regulatory compliance; assist during audits.
