Job summary

Dart Commercial Services, LLC in Lafayette, LA is seeking Refrigeration Installation/Pipefitter Technicians. Join a team that installs and connects refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers/freezers, copper piping, electrical components, and controls, guided by drawings and schematics.

Ideal candidates have a one-year certificate or 3–5 years related experience, valid driver's license, and solid knowledge of refrigeration systems, tools, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; and/or three to five years related experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• 1-2 years of refrigeration experience.
• 2 years of working knowledge of refrigeration equipment, tools, and refrigerants.
• Working knowledge of silver solder tools.
• Working knowledge of normal shop equipment and hand tools.
• Working knowledge of all electrical phases and voltage.

Responsibilities

• Travel to worksites in company provided vehicle and use PPE for safety.
• Install refrigeration equipment per drawings and specifications.
• Connect systems to electrical, control, water lines, and other utilities.
• Test installed systems and adjust electrical/ mechanical components.
• Fabricate and install equipment per schematics and installation manuals.
• Order, pick up, and install materials needed to maintain equipment.
