Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance technician to operate and maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems. You will monitor operations, log data, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable equipment.

The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, working in warm to cold environments, and complying with OSHA, EPA, IIAR standards. Starting wages are competitive with a $2.00 shift differential for later shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in refrigeration and HVAC system maintenance.
• Ability to work safely in a warm to cold environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to follow OSHA, EPA, IIAR standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Monitor system operations and keep required logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Assist with start-up/shut-down and report potential problems.
• Work within safety programs and company policies.

Job Description

Refrigeration Maintenance is responsible for operating and maintaining troubleshooting and repairs to all refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

• Monitor system operations.
• Keep required logs.
• Examine troubleshoot problems.
• Repair equipment.
• Complete P.M.’s.
• Control start-up and shut-down systems.
• Inform supervisor or fore-person of potential problems.
• Participate in PSM and RMP.
• Follow all OSHA, EPA, and IIAR standards.
• Follow all company policies.
• Work around ammonia, Freon, Co2, and natural gases.
• Learn to operate old and new equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned, for example paint, clean, etc…
• Work is assigned by others but is performed under frequent direction or review and work is assigned by others but is performed with occasional direction depending on work or project to be performed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk and stand for duration of the shift and have workable use of both hands. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to bend, twist, push, pull and reach. Ability to climb stairs.

Competitive Wages starting at $24.00 /Hour (Includes $1.00 Perfect Attendance Incentive)
