Publix Super Markets is seeking a Refrigeration Hardware Technician 1 to support our Facilities Refrigeration team. You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to service requests for retail stores' refrigeration hardware, including doors and fixtures.

Responsibilities include evaluating and repairing hardware, maintaining parts inventory, and ensuring reliability of refrigeration systems on site. This role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• 1 year working in skilled trades service or construction disciplines OR 2 years in Publix Retail or Operations experience
• Must be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver license
• Ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, on call rotations and travel with overnight stays

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
