Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Reefer Mechanic.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems.
• Experience placing work orders.
• Experience maintaining a parts inventory.
• CMMS experience highly desired.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience generating reports in different software systems.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments.
• Willingness to teach new team members.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair reefer containers and gensets.
• Prepare daily and weekly maintenance reports.
• Inspect and repair other equipment on site.
• Set daily/weekly maintenance goals and provide guidance.
• Use diagnostic tools ( computerized or manual ).
• Perform routine checks to prevent failures.
• Replace faulty parts to ensure safety and function.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain records of schedules, repairs, and inspections.
• Report priorities and work plans to Maintenance Superintendent.
• Perform daily housekeeping and preventive maintenance.
