HFA is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer I to support design and coordination of refrigeration systems for commercial and industrial projects. The role requires DX refrigeration experience, knowledge of energy codes, and ability to perform energy calculations with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• BSME from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Experience with DX refrigeration and energy calculations.
• Proficient in REVIT; familiarity with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead small projects or portions of larger projects in refrigeration design.
• Prepare construction documents and isometric plans for systems.
• Apply IMC, IPC and ASHRAE standards to designs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and clients throughout projects.
• Perform energy calculations and equipment selections; manage QA/QC.
• Assist in construction administration and project budgeting.
