Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Project Manager for our industrial refrigeration projects in Indiana. You will pre-plan and manage construction using company resources to deliver satisfied customers, increased productivity, and higher profitability.

The role requires experience with ammonia refrigeration systems, willingness to travel, and the ability to read ISO drawings, estimate change orders, and coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Construction/engineering degree is a plus.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Experience with MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read plans and ISO drawings for ordering materials and estimating change orders.
• Strong communication and self-starter attitude.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date change order, subcontractor, RFI and contingency logs.
• Work with operations manager to ensure labor plan is being carried out.
• Create Mechanical Schedule and Man loading charts on all projects.
• Consistently submit accurate, timely and complete estimates and change order quotations.
• Communication with Purchasing and Fabrication Shop to secure schedule, scope and price.
• Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
• Satisfy customers' needs to develop repeat business.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge in generating construction schedule and updating of same (MS Project).
• Knowledge in reading plan and ISO drawings for purpose of ordering material and estimating of change orders.
• Ability to order, track, and expedite for timely delivery to multiple locations of pipe valves, fittings and specialty items required for the project.
• Self-starter
• Good Communication skills
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
