A leading mechanical and electrical contractor is seeking a Project Manager for industrial refrigeration projects in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee construction projects, ensuring they meet customer needs and company standards for productivity and profitability. The ideal candidate will have experience with ammonia refrigeration systems, good communication skills, and the ability to produce and manage construction schedules using Microsoft Project. Qualifications

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Project Manager for our industrial refrigeration projects. In this role you will be tasked to pre‑plan and manage construction projects utilizing all company resources resulting in satisfied customers, increased productivity, and increased profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date change order, subcontractor, RFI and contingency logs.
• Work with operations manager to ensure labor plan is being carried out.
• Create Mechanical Schedule and Man loading charts on all projects.
• Consistently submit accurate, timely and complete estimates and change order quotations.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Fabrication Shop to secure schedule, scope and price.
• Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
• Satisfy customers’ needs to develop repeat business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Construction/engineering based degree is a plus.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Project.
• Knowledge in generating construction schedules and updating them (MS Project).
• Knowledge in reading plans and ISO drawings for ordering material and estimating change orders.
• Ability to order, track, and expedite timely delivery to multiple locations of pipe valves, fittings and specialty items required for the project.
• Self‑starter.
• Good communication skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
