Job summary

Turkey Hill is hiring for a Refrigeration Warehouse General Utility in Lancaster County, PA. This role supports direct store delivery operations, operates palletizers and PIT forklifts, and ensures accurate order verification and sanitation in the refrigerated warehouse.

You will rotate through duties, assist with inbound/outbound deliveries, perform QA tasks, and uphold GMP and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot palletizer, strap, and shrink wrap machines.
• Load and secure all DSD orders onto trailers using a PIT forklift.
• Perform sanitation duties and QA checks in the refrigerated warehouse.
• Assist with inbound/outbound deliveries and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Rotate and perform multiple roles within the department.

The Refrigeration Warehouse General Utility makes an impact by

• Uses the VoCollect system, pick, organize, and verify all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) orders.
• Confirms all orders using the High Volume Lane (HVL) system.
• Operates and troubleshoots the palletizer, strap, and shrink wrap machines.
• Uses a walk behind Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), loads, organizes, and secures all completed DSD orders onto the trailers.
• Alerts shipping office of completed trailers and request new trailers.
• Performs and records all sanitation duties in the refrigerated warehouse area including Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks and other housekeeping requirements.
• Proficient in all production communication and computer programs.
• Performs all required QA duties including retrieving and storing QA samples, performing temperature checks, and placing product on hold.
• Uses a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), loads, organizes, and secures all completed DTR orders onto the trailers.
• Uses a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), unloads and receives inbound deliveries into bay locations.
• Performs basic maintenance duties for all equipment as required.
• Must have the ability to rotate and perform multiple roles within the department.

Physical Demands

• The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
• The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
• The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
• The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
• Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
• The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
• Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
