Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for a 6pm-6am Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday shift at our Laredo distribution center.

The role includes general facility maintenance, sanitation tasks, and adherence to safety guidelines in a refrigerated environment. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years work experience as a maintenance technician.
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable; food manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Team player with a positive work attitude.
• Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
• 70% of the work is cleaning and maintenance, 30% adjustments and preparation of machines in production.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Participate in preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance at the facility.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and spare parts are available and secured when not in use.
• Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the facility as part of daily duties.
