Alcon in the East region seeks a Refractive Surgical Consultant to drive WaveLight product adoption, support post-sale activities, and work with physicians and operating room teams in the East region.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, fluent English, and 5+ years of relevant experience, with strong communication and presentation skills and heavy travel (~75%). Compensation is competitive with excellent benefits.

Refractive Surgical Consultant - East

As a Refractive Surgical Consultant, you will work with the WaveLight suite, and any other WaveLight consumables or disposables. Work with the Account Managers and the Refractive team to ensure a smooth sales process, and product knowledge post sale covering the East region.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Regional on-label post-install sales support, and technical selling for WaveLight products, with an emphasis on premium procedural selling
• Branded products include: WaveLight Excimer, WaveLight Femto, Contoura, Wavelight Plus, and all related Wavelight consumables/disposables
• Work closely with Wavelight Managers (WM), and Division Manager (DM), and
• Refractive team to optimize salesinitiatives, product adoption, and goals
• Ability to consult with physician/surgeon, key opinion leaders (KOLs), key customer decision makers, and internal stakeholders
• Maintain high level of technical knowledge on key existing and new surgical products
• Accountable for assigned sales objectives for region
• Responsible for Management Business Objectives (MBOs) assigned by management

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

5 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Ophthalmic surgical/technical skills and knowledge.
• A demonstrated track record of proven sales achievements is highly preferred.
• Experience consulting in an Operating Room (OR) setting.
• Experience consulting with Refractive technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Refractive diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The salary range posted represents the anticipated hiring range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity, and may fall outside the posted range.

Pay Range 119,000.00 - 154,000.00
