Job Description

Position Overview

The Refinish Technician is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience through meticulous refinishing, ensuring each vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition. This role involves mixing, color matching, and refinishing vehicles, contributing to Gerber’s goals of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. The technician works collaboratively with team members to meet KPIs and acts as a Brand Ambassador for Gerber. Safety is a priority, and technicians are provided with PAPR systems for protection and comfort.

Job Responsibilities

1. Review body work for quality and completeness upon arrival in the paint department.
2. Mix, color match, and refinish vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.
3. Complete all refinish operations as per work orders.
4. Maintain and utilize paint material inventory efficiently.
5. Use safety equipment properly and dispose of hazardous waste responsibly.
6. Participate in daily production meetings.
7. Collaborate with team to meet deadlines and work harmoniously with production schedules.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 2-5+ years of collision repair experience.
2. Proficiency in all steps of the refinishing process.
3. Strong focus on quality.
4. High production capability.
5. I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a plus.
