Job summary

Continental Collision Center is seeking a Paint Prep Technician to support painting new and repaired cars. The technician will be responsible for preparing surfaces, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in various paint shop duties. A valid driver's license and age of at least 18 are required.

Job description

Continental Collision Center is looking for an additional Paint Prep Technician! As a Paint Prep Technician you will be painting new cars, repairing paint jobs on old or damaged cars, and create customized paint jobs for customers. This requires a lot of practice and skill.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sand/grind surface to prep for paint
  • Clean surface
  • Learn all proper equipment usage and safety
  • Report to the Painter
  • Perform prep work on assigned job given from Painter
    • Reference RO for work to be completed
    • Ensure areas in need of prep are ready for refinish
    • Identify and locate all parts necessary for refinish as described in RO
  • Keep vehicle clean for refinish
  • Stage vehicle for assigned paint tech
  • When workload is minimal, assist with other paint shop duties
  • Communicate with Painter and Paint techs to ensure refinish is completed in allotted cycle time
  • Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm
  • Saturday-Sunday closed

Pay:

  • $18-23 per flag hour based on experience
