Job summary

Phillips 66 is hiring a Rotating Equipment Mechanic (Machinist / Millwright) at the Billings Refinery in Billings, Montana. You’ll perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance on pumps, seals, fans, compressors and gearboxes, and operate common machine tools as needed.

The role requires climbing up to 250 feet, lifting up to 64 pounds, working outdoors in all weather and in confined spaces, and strict adherence to HSE policies.

Responsibilities

• Repair, alter, fabricate, remove, install, assemble and service rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes).
• Maintain and operate equipment and tools to support required skills.
• Prepare materials and tools to achieve high productivity.
• Interpret manuals and specifications to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Keep the site well-kept and orderly.
• Work in a team environment and assist others on major projects.
• Climb equipment and work in confined spaces, elevations, and various weather conditions.
• Follow HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
