Phillips 66 – Borger Refinery invites students into a Pump & Engine Mechanic Intern program. You’ll gain hands-on experience applying certificate/associate training to real-world refinery operations, working with a craft team and supervisors to build practical skills in maintenance and safe operation.

The internship starts March 2027 and offers part-time scheduling around classes. You’ll be evaluated via an online assessment after applying, with results valid for a year.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Shadow and support experienced employees while following safety and procedures.
• Assist in removing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, turbines, gear boxes, fans, and compressors.
• Learn about health, safety, and environmental hazards.
• Witness the work authorization permit system and energy isolation.
• Learn to recognize and report incidents and near-misses.
• Provide inspection, testing, and documentation of safety systems to meet OSHA regulations.
• Assist with pre-startup safety reviews and project technical reviews.
• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
