Job summary

Phillips 66 Borger Refinery is seeking a Laboratory Technician Intern to join the laboratory team under the direction of the lab group leader. This is a temporary assignment, anticipated to last up to one year, with a 12-hour rotating shift that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

You will gain hands-on experience across multiple labs, learn safety practices, operate routine lab instruments, and log data. The start is projected for March 2027 with part-time scheduling around classes.

Qualifications

• GPA must be equal to or greater than 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s degree or higher in Chemistry/Chemical Technology or Biology or related Science.
• Completed or currently enrolled in at least one college-level chemistry course.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing and able to perform shifts, overtime, on-call duties and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe laboratory working environment.
• Adhere to safety training and company safety programs.
• Train on analyses in the applicable lab.
• Operate lab instrumentation following standard guidelines.
• Prepare standards and standardize solutions for analyses.

GPA 2.0+ on 4.0

Chemistry course

Work authorization in US

Age 18+

Valid driver’s license
