Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) is seeking Mechanical Engineering interns for spring, summer, and fall terms to gain hands-on experience at our Findlay, Ohio refinery and related locations. You will work with project teams to develop scopes, estimates, and schedules, while learning refinery processes and reliability improvements.

A strong academic record and US work authorization are required, with multiple terms preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters.
• Availability for multiple work terms is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program.
• Military experience a plus.
• MIN - $32.92 per hour / MAX - $41.67 per hour

Responsibilities

• As a Mechanical Engineer at a Marathon refinery, you will work with a team to run a specific portion of the refining process.
• You will develop project scopes, estimates, and schedules and oversee design efforts.
• You will gain knowledge of maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and process improvements.
• You will expand written and verbal presentation skills in a professional work environment.
