Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking Mechanical Engineering interns/co-ops for multiple refinery locations, including Findlay, OH. You will gain hands-on experience with refinery processes, equipment, and maintenance, while developing project management and communication skills in a team setting.

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering program, authorized to work in the US, and able to commit to spring, summer or fall terms; driving license required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong academic performance
• Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters available
• Availability for multiple work terms preferred
• A valid driver's license is required
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program
• Military experience a plus
• MIN - $32.92 per hour / MAX - $41.67 per hour

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Engineers will work across refinery areas to gain a broad understanding of plant operations.
• Co-ops/interns may enter roles like Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineer and Reliability Engineer.
• Develop project management, design, and maintenance knowledge within refinery context.
