Kern Energy in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Materials Management Specialist to support refinery warehouse operations, inventory management, material procurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will maintain inventory accuracy, ensure timely material availability, execute competitive sourcing, and collaborate with maintenance and project teams to improve warehouse processes for safe, reliable, and cost-effective refinery operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field required.
• 10+ years in materials management or procurement preferred.
• Experience in petroleum refining or industrial environments preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage inventory replenishment, stock levels, and critical spare parts availability.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliations.
• Monitor usage, lead times, and min/max levels to optimize investment.
• Maintain ERP/CMMS transaction records.
• Support daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and staging.
• Operate forklift and maintain operator certification.
• Coordinate material requirements with maintenance and project teams.
• Source materials and obtain competitive bids; prepare RFQs.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms while ensuring quality.
• Develop supplier relationships and improve workflows.
