Job summary

Phillips 66 Wood River Refinery is seeking an experienced Machinist to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems at the Roxana, IL site. The role involves fabrication, installation of components, and maintaining rotating and non-rotating equipment in a refinery setting.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years as an industrial machinist, knowledge of API/ANSI pumps and turbines, and the ability to work overtime and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years industrial machinist experience.
• Experience with API and ANSI Pumps, Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors, Steam Turbines, and general shop machinery.
• TWIC card or eligibility required.
• Able to work overtime and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety processes and prepare JSAs.
• Review and plan maintenance work; prepare drawings and reports.
• Troubleshoot and plan repairs for safe, cost-effective execution.
• Execute daily maintenance work orders and ensure quality.
• Coordinate with Operations and other departments to align scope, priority, and timing.
• Set up work sites with barriers and signs; manage job-site logistics.
