Job summary

The Instrument Technician at Phillips 66 Lake Charles Refinery works in the maintenance department, performing installation, calibration, repair and troubleshooting of refinery instrumentation across areas exposed to weather and hazards. The role requires a journeyman level craftsman with safety awareness and the ability to work overtime.

On-site responsibilities include maintaining analyzers, tuning control loops, overhauling valves, and coordinating tasks while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Requires journeyman level experience in oil refinery or similar facility.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to obtain TWIC; able to lift up to 50 lb and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, repair refinery process control instruments.
• Maintain on-line analyzers and instrument safety systems.
• Troubleshoot control valves and instrument loops; prepare schematics and reports.
• Coordinate work and ensure compliance with procedures and training requirements.

High School Diploma or GED

Industrial instrument craft apprenticeship or related Associate’s degree
